Carlos Tevez was the start of the show as Juventus cantered into the last eight of the Champions League with a clinical performance, beating a lacklustre Borussia Dortmund 3-0 on the night and 5-1 on aggregate.
The Italians held a 2-1 lead on aggregate at kick-off, and Dortmund had been confident of securing the 1-0 home win that would have seen them through.
However, the Germans were left shell-shocked by Tevez’s thunderous third-minute opener and never recovered.
Dortmund’s famous Yellow Wall remained in good voice throughout but their team was sluggish and were never able to gain a foothold in the game.
Instead, Alvaro Morata had two gilt-edged opportunities to wrap up the victory at the beginning of the second-half but found Roman Weidenfeller in good form.
It was third time lucky though as Tevez sprang the Dortmund offside trap before calmly rolling the ball across goal for Morata to tap home.
And there was still time for the Argentine to put the seal on a stunning Juve performance with an emphatic third.
