The Flying Eagles resumed training on Monday ahead of the second group game against Congo at the ongoing African Youth Championship in Senegal.
The team is riding high in Group A with a win over Senegal and are desperately seeking for another in their second game to qualify for the AYC semi finals and also pick the ticket to FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand.
The training was supervised by Manu Garba and his assistants. The morning training was skipped to ensure the team rested after their win over Senegal. Meanwhile, a competent camp source lamented that the Nigerian Embassy in Senegal has left the team to languish in hunger.
The source said: “We have been eating the local meal since we came here and the development is not a good one for the team. “It is expected that the Nigerian Embassy in Senegal ought to have taken up the team’s well-being but unfortunately that has not been the case.”
It was however learnt that the Embassy has been liaising with the team to provide them with Nigerian dishes.
