Good Governance Initiative (GGI), a socio-political group has described All Progressives Presidential Candidate, Gen Mohammadu Buhari’s speech at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House, London as laughable aimed at currying sympathy when there is none.

The Director, Media and Publicity of GGI, Mr. Sunny Osa in a statement said “Why Chatham House to deliver his speech and not NIIA if they are not deceitful? It was a waste of resources, an effort in the wrong direction tantamount to winking in the dark.”

“This is man who could hardly stand for more than five minutes at every political rally to deliver his speech but stood for over 30 minutes in Chatham House chattering away fallacious promises. If for anything, I view Buhari and his cohorts’ appearance in Chatham House as a tragic epic movie, spiteful and a calculated move aimed at currying sympathy where there is none.

“If you watch the footage, you would have noticed that he was reluctantly reading a script prepared for him by those who want to use him to actualise their selfish political agenda. What was the electoral value of the Chatham speech, who do they wish to impress? Buhari could not hide his ill -feelings for those he has perceived as enemies who he aims to vent his wrath on should he secure his presidential ambition.

“Nigerians should ask themselves why he is contesting for the fourth time having been rejected trice by the same Nigerians. Listen to his uncoordinated and laughable speeches and you would realise that they hold no water.”

Osa also urged Nigerians to support President Goodluck Jonathan so that he can achieve his transformation agenda.
