Director-General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises, Mr. Benjamin Dikki has said that the Federal Government is set to privatise Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited in order to make the company more commercially viable.
Dikki reportedly said this when the Director-General of the National Space Research and Development Agency, Prof. Seidu Mohammed, paid him a courtesy visit.
Dikki explained that privatising NigComSat will not affect the security of the nation because the BPE will determine the level of private sector participation needed to drive its growth.
Dikki added that BPE will source for informed guidance from stakeholders to determine which model of privatisation to adopt.
