A few days after Toni Payne’s open letter explaining her decision to forgive her ex hubby popular musician 9ice, The ‘Gongo Aso’ singer in a recent interview shared his happiness that his ex-wife has finally forgiven him.
“I saw the write-up my ex-wife posted on the internet where she wrote that she has forgiven me after six years. It is a very good development and I am happy she had forgiven me after all these years.
“Contrary to public opinion we have been friends all these while. The most important thing is that even when things are not working or they are not the way they should seem with a person, you should endeavour to remain friends with the person. That is very important. We are friends and we remain friends.” he said.
The couple’s relationship had hit rocky waters a few years earlier when a rumour circulated indicating that the then wife of the pop act had been involved in an etra-marital affair with another artist, Ruggedman.
The rumour was infact false but the damage done to their relationship appeared irreparable at the time.
