9 Nurses in same maternity center become pregnant at the same time

3 Min Read

Nine of the female health caregivers who work at a hospital in Maine are heavily pregnant and would start giving birth in a few months.

The hospital made the intriguing announcement  via its Facebook page.

In the post, eight of the nine pregnant nurses posed for a picture and showed off their baby bumps.

To justify that they were actual nurses working in the hospital, the women wore their scrubs and also held cards indicating when they were due to give birth.

The Portland hospital further revealed that they are all set to give birth between April and July.

WMTW TV also stated that the nurses have been caring and standing in for one another since they learned about their conditions.

One of them, Erin Grenier, explained, “After each one of us started to say, ‘We’re pregnant,’ I think it was a happier announcement each time, and we’re all there for each other.

“There’s been times where we’ve been the patient. So it’s been great to have each other either being our nurse or just being there for us, sending us a message, checking in on us making sure everything is okay.”

Meanwhile, Nurse Amanda Spear revealed, “ It’s really nice coming to work and seeing other people who are just as pregnant and watching their bellies pop and just talking about these experiences that we are going through together,” while Nurse Nicole Goldberg mentioned that it seemed every one of them felt comfortable with one another because they had a common ground.

Speaking on how the post had generated a lot of reactions so quickly, one of the pregnant nurses, Lonnie Soucie stated, “I don’t think it hit home until we took a picture and it was on social media and we were getting all this attention.

“And then it was like, ‘Whoa, you weren’t kidding!'”

The hospital authorities have affirmed that when the nine women begin to go on maternity leaves, the company will ensure that their roles are not left unattended to.
