Arsenal youngster Jack Wilshere will take longer than expected to return to the team.
The English midfielder picked up an injury in a challenge with Manchester United’s Paddy McNair on November 22.
He underwent surgery subsequently and results came through that he is likely to return to the club in January.
In contrast, reports in The Sun suggest that the 22-year-old could lose five months to the injury, following a set back in his rehabilitation plan.
In his short career, Wilshere has now been out of play for eight occasions due to ankle problems.
While the Gunners awaits his return, Arsene Wenger will now implore tactics to measure up with the situation on ground.
