Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has said that he has 65 Per cent Chance of emerging as All Progressives Congress Presidential Candidate during the National Convention on Wednesday.
He said he is sure of emerging as the party’s flag bearer because he had visited all the states of the federation to sell his candidature to delegates.
Atiku made this statement during a press briefing organised by his campaign organisation.
He also explained that he was never opposed to picking a consensus candidate, he said “We are not opposed to consensus, what we are saying is that no consensus is better than the one reached by over 7,000 delegates at a national convention. Let us go for a convention, where all delegates would vote. These are people who were elected at the local level of the party.”
He also said he will support and work for whoever emerges as the party’s presidential candidate.
