A 6-month-old baby born with a heart condition has tested positive for coronavirus while recovering from a heart surgery.
Erin Bates, who was born weighing just 5lbs 4oz, has been struggling with windpipe problems since birth and also survived open heart surgery.

The family of the baby shared a heartbreaking picture of the brave child on an oxygen machine surrounded by wires, tubes and equipment as they plead with the public to take the coronavirus outbreak seriously.
The 6-month-old baby underwent open heart surgery and endured problems with her windpipe but after months of treatment she stood a good chance of recovery.

However, last Friday, she tested positive to the virus and has been undergoing treatment at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool.
Her father Wayne, 32, is currently home at Bury, Greater Manchester, where he must self-isolate because of his contact with Erin while his wife, Emma, 29, is bravely staying with their daughter in the hospital.
Meanwhile, The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has announced that five new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Nigeria, specifically in Lagos, Kwara and Katistina States, bringing the total number to 323 on Sunday.
