A total of 6, 346 youths have been recruited for the Federal Government’s N-Power jobs in Kaduna State.
The News Agency of Nigeria [NAN] reports that some of the successful applicants on Friday underwent verification in Kaduna prior to their postings.
At one of the screening centres at the Kaduna Agricultural Development Project office, an official said that the successful candidates would be posted after an aptitude test to be conducted next week.
Mallam Yau Kassimu, Director, Agricultural Extension Services of the agency said that 1, 211 unemployed youths were recruited to serve as agricultural extension workers.
According to him, 4, 103 of the successful candidates would be posted to teach in primary and Junior Secondary Schools while 587 will be posted to Primary Healthcare Centres
Kassimu added that 445 of the youths were non graduates with skills who were engaged to develop their skills and earn a living.
Kassimu said that all the beneficiaries would be posted to places close to where they reside.
“Presently they are undergoing a verification exercise to know the areas where the beneficiaries reside to ensure that they are not far from their places of assignment.” (NAN)
