Brazilian midfielder, Fred is in Manchester to sign for Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United in a deal worth £52 million.
According to The Sun UK, quoting Brazilian media, the 24-year-old was given permission by national team coach Tite to depart the team’s camp for the deal signing and landed in Manchester Sunday night.
He featured in the Selecao‘s World Cup friendly against Croatia over the weekend.
He is expected to undergo a medical before penning the deal.
Fred signed for Ukrainian side Shaktar Donetsk from Brazilian side Internacional in 2013 for £10 million.
He has since won two league titles, two domestic cups and three Super Cups, as well as playing in both the Champions League and the Europa League.
