The governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced that 5 more COVID-19 cases have been discharged from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital on Thursday. April 16, bringing the total number to 90.
Sanwo-Olu, who disclosed this on his official Twitter handle said, “Today, 5 more patients; 3 females and 2 males, have been discharged from the Mainland Infectious Diseases Hospital to reunite with the society.”
“They were discharged having recovered fully and tested negative twice consecutively to #COVID19.”

Earlier, the Herald reported that sixteen patients undergoing treatment for novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Lagos have been discharged.
The Commissioner for Health in the state, Prof. Akin Abayomi disclosed this in a series of tweets on Thursday afternoon.
He said this brings the total number of patients discharged from the various isolation centres in the state to 85.
Also, the commissioner said that the state also recorded 18 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total confirmed cases to 235.
He wrote, “COVID19Lagos update as at 15th April, 2020
