Four suspected thugs have been apprehended by Police operatives in Amukoko area of Lagos State over the killing of a middle-aged man.
Two groups; Apasa and Safejo in Abulekere community in Ifelodun area, have been fighting and not so long ago they rioted and looted, attacking citizens and raiding shops in the area.
Vanguard sources reveal the suspects attacked with broken bottles and cutlasses, a middle-aged man, was a victim of the attack at Iyatuwo Street.
He was rushed to the hospital and there received treatment but died 2 days later.
Hoodlums from Apasa struck back in revenge but it was shut down by Amukoko Division Police officers, who arrested the suspects. the Baale of Abulekere Mofesajo Community, Chief Oladipupo Idris Ojora made a statement in response to the incident “we are working closely with the Police to rid the community of bad eggs, who are bent on wreaking havoc in the community.
Mr. Abuchi whose shop was raided during the battle, said “every festive period the hoodlums attack each other to cause chaos that will enable them attack people and loot.”
