Four ships waiting to berth in Lagos ports would discharge petrol, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Monday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the document noted that the remaining two ships would berth with bulk fertiliser.

Twenty nine ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos from Aug. 8 to Aug. 24.

NPA explained that the expected ships contained buck wheat, bulk sugar, containers, base oil, frozen fish, steel products, ethanol, frozen fish, bulk fertiliser, diesel and petrol.

NAN reports that 17 other ships are at the ports discharging general cargoes, buck wheat, bulk fertiliser, bulk charcoal, empty containers, bulk soya beans, steel products and petrol.
