Akeem Omole, a trader, was on Friday brought before on Ikeja Chief Magistrate’s Court in Lagos for allegedly raping a teenager.
The accused, who resides at 35, Olaleye street Oko-Oba, Agege is facing a one-count rape charge.
Inspector Simeon Inuoha, the prosecutor, told the court that the offence was committed at the residence of the accused.
He said the accused called the victim, a 16-year-old, into his room under the pretence of sending her on an errand.
“The accused shut the door at her and raped her,’’ he said.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty.
Mrs. B.O Osunsanmi, the Chief Magistrate, granted the accused N300,000 bail with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to January 31, 2017 for mention.
