3,000 Labour Party Members have defected to Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State.

The LP members announced their defection at a rally in Kiagbodo, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, on Friday.

According to Chief Bullet Otuaro, the LP member who led the defectors, they defected because the PDP is now well positioned in Delta State and PDP is the only party that will move the state forward.

Meanwhile, about 2,000 members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra state have defected to the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).

Mr. Uchenna Madike who led the defectors said they decided to join the PDP because their membership of APGA in the last twelve years has been unfruitful as APGA has done nothing to bring development to their community.

He added that the members were from the four communities in Orumba South which are least developed.
