Legendary entertainer, Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2face has declared his intention to run for a political office.
The Benue state indigene made this known in a chat with newsmen on Tuesday.
The multiple award-winning musician said it was high time good people took over the mantle of leadership.
However, the African Queen crooner did not disclose his political party or at what level he would be seeking political office.
2face said he was venturing into politics to show that it could be done, urging more youths to get involved in politics to be able to positively influence lives.
The R&B singer said, “Politics affects everything I do. So, I am definitely going to be interested in politics. I will soon participate as a contestant and speak the truth at all times.
“I hope and pray that good men will rise up and make a difference in this country, because we need more patriotic people in all aspects of life.”
In the same vein, 2face called on more Nigerians to come to the aid of victims of herdsmen-farmers crises across the country.
He noted, “There is so much we’ve been saying about this crisis, but nothing much has come the way of the victims.
“We just need more people to support and join hands to continue extending relief materials to affected people.
“This is the most important thing we can now do; bring succour to the victims.”
Thr musician appealed to the Federal Government to find a permanent solution to the crises, and urged Nigerians to exercise safety consciousness during crisis situations.
