$2bn Arms Deal: Dasuki Accuses Jonathan Of Complicity Again

1 Min Read

The ongoing investigation into an alleged $2.1 billion arms procurement deal has continued to throw up one revelation after the other, even as many highly-placed individuals have been fingered as being in the loop on the matter.

The latest accusation is coming from detained former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd), who has accused immediate-past President Goodluck Jonathan of giving him a verbal directive to convert the sum of N10 billion into dollars, to be shared among delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sahara Reporter found.

Dasuki had initially said he did not spend any money on procurement without the approval of the former president, but Jonathan has come out to deny those charges.

Other notable individuals that have been questioned on the circumstances surrounding the arms deal include former governor of Sokoto, Attahiru Bafarawa, and founding Chairman of Daar Communications, Chief Raymond Dokpesi.
