A man has begged the Ikole- Ekiti Customary Court in Ekiti State to dissolve his marriage noting that he could no longer bear staying with his foul smelling wife.
The 40-year-old man identified as Olarewaju Osasonna said: “My wife is very dirty to the extent of packing used baby napkins with faeces for days in the house without washing them and this made everywhere in the house to smell.
“Again, she doesn’t know how to cook food; always cooking tasteless meals and will never take to correction on her dirty habit.
“Above all, she does not care for the well-being of our two children as a responsible mother should be doing.”
The estranged husband further told the court that his dirty wife also has the habit of cursing him ad his family members whenever the couple had a misunderstanding.
Seeking the dissolution of his seven-year-old marriage, the man prayed that the court grant him custody of the first child and pledged the sum of N3,000 monthly upkeep for the second child.
The presiding judge of the court, Yemisi Ojo, adjourned the case till October 11 for the wife’s testimony.
