The Oyo State Security Network (Amotekun Corps) has arrested a truckload of Fulani herdsmen heading to Ibarapa in Oyo State, Sahara Reporters reported Tuesday.

According to the report, the herdsmen were being conveyed in a Kebbi State-registered truck marked TUR30ZY when Amotekun nabbed them.

Twenty-five guns and 10 dogs were said to have been recovered from the suspects, the report stated, quoting an unnamed official of the security network.

Recall that Fulani herdsmen in Igangan community in Ibarapa North LGA were evicted from their settlement last Friday at the expiration of a one-week quit notice issued by Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho.

The home as well as cars belonging to the Seriki Fulani of Igangan, Alhaji Saliu Abdulkadri and other residents of the Fulani settlement were also reportedly burnt.

However, the state government delegation, including Commissioner of Police, Ngozi Onadeko, which visited the town on Sunday vowed to restore peace to the community.
