Hon. Segun Adekola, a member representing Ekiti South federal constituency II at the House of Representatives, has lauded the emergence of Ali Modu Sheriff as the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“It is only through a clean, clear and steadfast spirit of unity and oneness that the task ahead can be successful, hence the need for the new Chairman to work hard in this regard.”
“What is important in PDP now is a collective rescue mission with all hands on deck towards the actualization and rejuvenation of the party to regain its lost glory. The onus of the preparations rests mainly on the leadership of the PDP especially the national Chairman.”
“Alhaji Sheriff must be allowed to swing into action and bring everybody together through holistic and pragmatic reconciliation and mobilisation of party members across the country,” he said.
Recently, the embattled chairman pleaded with aggrieved members of the party to work with him towards re-positioning the party for a greater height.
The party’s leadership has however held a meeting and unanimously decided that Sheriff and all members of the national working committee of the party must vacate their positions to give way to a new leadership within three months.
