Man, 32 rapes boss’ 6 year old daughter in Eti-Osa

2 Min Read

One Abeng Oji has been arraigned at Igbosere Magistrates’ court sitting in Lagos. The 32 year old allegedly raped his boss’ six-year-old daughter inside a bathroom at the house where he worked in Ologolo community, Eti-Osa.

It was gathered that the victim’s parents had gone for a church vigil on January 30, 2016, leaving her and the gardener at home, when he took advantage of her and defiled her, after he sneaked into the girl’s room under the pretence that he wanted to charge his mobile phone.

Oji then initiated a chat with the girl who resisted his attempts to get close to her, so he overpowered her, dragged her into the bathroom and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.

After he was done, he warned her against telling her parents what he had done to her or else she would face dire consequences. But later that morning when her mother was bathing her, the little girl screamed in pains anytime her mother touched her private parts, leading to the mother asking her what had happened to her and she divulged the secret to her mother.

The case was reported at the Ilasan Police Division, leading to Oji’s arrest and was arraigned at the court on a one-count charge of rape.

At the hearing, the presiding magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Ogunbowale, and admitted Oji to bail in the sum of N5 million with two sureties in like sum, after he pleaded not guilty to the charge.

He was however ordered remanded in prison custody till the next adjourned date of April 13, 2016, pending the perfection of his bail.
