The Governor of Gombe State, Inuwa Yahaya, has urged the Nigerian electorate to vote for the presidential flagbearer of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to enable him to continue President Muhammadu Buhari’s “good works”.
The governor said this in Akko Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday.
Yahaya said Tinubu deserved to be elected for consolidation of Buhari’s legacy of good works.
“We need consolidation, that’s why we are going to vote for Tinubu. Tinubu has promised to continue with the good works of Buhari by ensuring good governance to the good people.
“I assure you he will not disappoint,” Yahaya said.

The Gombe governor expressed appreciation to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for introducing the Bimodal Voter Authentication System (BVAS).
He said that with BVAS, the possibility of manipulating the 2023 general election has been eliminated.
Yahaya noted that some politicians manipulated the card readers used in previous general elections but would not be able to do same with BVAS in 2023.
He expressed confidence that the ruling APC would coast to victory in the polls.
“Before now, some people will sit in a room and write results, declaring whoever the winner of election, but with BVAS, we are not scared because we have supporters,” the governor said.
