2023 presidential ambition will end Tinubu’s political career – Popular activist

The Convener of Concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju has advised National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu against contesting the 2023 presidential election.

He said Tinubu’s political career would end should he dare to vie for the highest office in the land.

The former Lagos governor has yet to confirm interest in seeking the presidency at the expiration of President Muhammadu’s second term, although there are indications that he could do so.

Taking to Twitter on Monday, Adeyanju wrote, “I want Tinubu to contest the 2023 presidential election under APC. That will be the end of his political career.”

This came days after APC’s candidate in Edo gubernatorial election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu was defeated by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate and incumbent Governor, Godwin Obaseki.

Many Twitter users blamed Tinubu for contributing to the loss through a video he released days before the election.

In the viral video, he urged the Edo electorate not to vote for Obaseki, adding that the governor did not deserve a single vote.

He further said that Obaseki was not a Democrat because he did not contribute to efforts to end the military junta of Sani Abacha in the ’90s.
