The endorsement of APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu by some popular Yoruba actors including Yinka Quadri, Adebayo Salami aka Oga Bello and Jide Kosoko is currently the subject of intense debate on social media.
The Herald earlier reported that the thespians acting under the aegis of League of Actors expressed support for Tinubu’s 2023 presidential ambition in a video clip.
Some of the movie stars featured in the video are Yinka Quadri, Adebayo Salami aka Oga Bello, Jide Kosoko, Fausat Balogun, Taiwo Hassan, Femi Adebayo, Shola Kosoko, Faithia Williams, Saheed Balogun, Murphy Afolabi, and Eniola Ajao.
The Yoruba actors said they were endorsing Tinubu because of his support for the movie industry, practitioners, and his influence across Nigeria and beyond.

However, the video has become the subject of intense debate, with many netizens speaking for and against the endorsement.
Read some comments monitored on Twitter:
A group of Yoruba actors made a jingle for BAT and you started ranting.
Psquare, Phyno, Flavour and a number of South-South & South-Eastern celebrities are rallying support for Peter Obi, so whatās the problem?
We cannot move forward with these double standards.

Psquare are free to support Peter Obi.
Yoruba actors are free to support BAT or Atiku.
I'm just concerned how someone will see Peter Obi and still go and vote for BAT.š¤

The fact that there was a graveyard silence among these Yoruba Nollywood actors and actresses during this Buhari disastrous regime despite how they all trooped out in numbers to protest during Jonathanās regime says all you need to know about how corrupt and compromised they are.

PSquare can support Peter Obi. Jide Kosoko and co can support Tinubu, too. It's democracy. In fact, many of the Yoruba actors are registered members of the APC. So they're supporting their party man. Not all of us will be Obidient. After all, not all of us believe in God.

"Jide Kosoko" have the right to support whosoever he wants to support just like any other person supporting any other candidates.

Does Jide Kosoko and other Yoruba actors supporting their candidate stop you from supporting yours? Or youāre just too stupid to have a mind of your own?? Yāall wonāt stop getting me angry

Let Jide kosoko & co support their candidate. No one has to force them to support anyone else but, they shouldnāt be allowed to influence innocent Nigerians whoāve suffered in the hands of these apc/pdp politicians. Itāll be good to have a healthy & productive man as president.

Okey Bakassi/Psquare endorse Peter Obi = They know the right it, it's their right.
Yoruba actors endorse Tinubu = They are canceled, why only Yoruba, tribal people.
Focus on your candidate cos there will still be endorsements from your fav celebrities for their candidates.

Jide Kosoko and other Yoruba actors can support anyone they want as president.
However, let us not vote along ethnic lines and tribalism. We need a transparent and competent leader.

Anybody can support any candidate Abeg. Why una Dey vex for Yoruba actors/actresses

We shouldn't show off political extremism. This is afterall a democracy. Yes, Jide Kosoko and Eniola Badmus have the right to support Tinubu. We shouldn't bully people into following the Peter Obi's movement. You can only preach and hope that they will see the light soon. Simple.
