The presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has again dispelled fears over his physical fitness, saying running for the presidency was not the same as competing in a 100 metre-race or professional wrestling.
He made the comment at a dinner organised in his honour by the Kano Business Community Council on Saturday.
Tinubu urged Nigerians to vote for him in the 2023 polls as he was smarter than those making negative insinuations about his health.
“Some ignorant people, I have been standing before you. I am not running for a 100-yard or 500-yard race. I am running for the presidency.
“I am not competing in WWE wrestling. Even if I go out there and they say sick oo, I am standing before you, do I look a sick man?

“Vote me out of their reach. Vote me 100%. They will stop complaining because I am smarter than they are,” the APC candidate said.
Tinubu has constantly refuted claims by his critics that he is sick and therefore unfit to hold the office of president.
In September, reports emerged that the presidential candidate was in London for medical attention.
However, he debunked the rumour by sharing a video of himself exercising on an exercise bike.
