A former member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Shehu Sani says presidential aspirants vying for the party’s ticket in 2023 must expect to be insulted mostly by their fellow party members.
He stated this in a Monday tweet to his 2 million Twitter followers.
Sani, who is now a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was Senator for Kaduna Central between 2015 and 2019.
He quit the APC after falling out with Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State, with whom he publicly traded insults for most part of his stay in the upper chamber.
According to him, APC members enjoy insulting and defaming each other.
“Most of the innuendoes, insults, defamation and character assassinations against the Presidential candidates of the ruling party will come from their fellow members sponsored by their fellow members.
“Perfidy against each other is in their DNA. I speak from experience,” Sani wrote.
