The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed its readiness to engage the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in a fight to finish in the 2019 presidential election.
The party confirmed this by appointing former presidential aspirant and Senate President Bukola Saraki as the Director General of the Atiku 2019 Campaign Organisation.
According to a report by THISDAY, quoting the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Kola Ologbondiyan, the party also appointed Sokoto and Rivers States Governors, Aminu Tambuwal and Nyesom Wike as zonal coordinators for North-West and South-South respectively.
In the same vein, others named named as zonal coordinators are: Gombe State Governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo (North-East), Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom ( North-Central) and the Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi (South-East).

Similiarly, PDP named immediate past Governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose as the Coordinator for South-West.
Ologbondiyan was further quoted as saying that the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Emmanuel Udom, was appointed Chairman of Fund Raising Committee, and another former presidential aspirant, Alhaji Taminu Turaki, would head the legal committee.
The party spokesman said that other appointments would be made in due course.
