A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has said that ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo’s endorsement of the party’s 2019 presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar on Thursday would greatly contribute to his victory at the polls.
Fani-Kayode, a former Aviation Minister, made this known in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Frday morning.
Atiku had visited Obasanjo in his Abeokuta residence on Thursday alongside many prominent personalities to settle their longstanding frosty relationship and seek his support.
Prominent personalities that accompanied him on the mission included: National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus; founder of Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo; Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Hasan Kukah; Afenifere chieftain, Pa Ayo Adebanjo; respected Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmed Gumi; and the senator representing Bayelsa East senatorial district, Sen. Ben Murray-Bruce.
According to Fani-Kayode, Obasanjo has a perfect record of supporting the eventual winner in every presidential election since 1999.

He expressed confidence that the trend would continue on February 14, 2019 when Nigerians go out to elect Atiku as their president.
Fani-Kayode tweeted:
OBJ endorsed himself in
1999: he won.
