National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has vowed to work for the reelection of President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 general election.
Tinubu made this known in his address at the National Honour Investiture ceremony for Chief MKO Abiola at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa on Tuesday.
He said that the president had performed creditably well in three years to deserve a second term in office.
Tinubu highlighted the achievements of the Buhari administration to include improvement in power supply and initiation of the School Feeding Programme.
Buhari had last week declared June 12 as Nigeria’s new Democracy Day and announced a posthumous Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (GCFR) honour for winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, Bashorun MKO Abiola.
The president equally announced a Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) honours for Abiola’s vice presidential candidate, Amb. Babagana Kingibe and late foremost pro-democracy and human rights activist, Chief Gani Fawehinmi.
