2 Min Read

Frontline aspirant for the 2019 Ethiope Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, Chief Godfrey Ishegbe, on Thursday consulted Nigeria’s former Military Head of State, Gen. Abdusalami Abubakar (rtd), at his residence in Minna, Niger State.

Gen. Abubakar has continued to prove himself as a true nationalist committed to advancing the growth and development of the Nigeria State.

The former Head of State remains a unifying factor and a pathfinder of Nigeria’s democracy having returned the country to democratic rule in 1999, when he had all the paraphernalia of powers to remain in government ad Infinitum.

Chief Ishegbe, had a heart-to-heart talk with the former leader of the nation on discussions ranging from National Integration, Purposeful Leadership, International politics and the youths participation in Governance at all levels.

The 2019 Ethiope East House of Representatives hopeful had an engaging and interactive time with Gen. Abukakar, who offered salient and privileged information on how the fortunes of the country can be improved.

Chief Ishegbe has had the privilege of interacting with the former leader of the nation in the past but that of Thursday was exceptional as the retired General gave insights on some burning national issues and the way forward for Nigeria.

Chief Ishegbe has continued to consult far and wide on his aspiration to represent the people of Ethiope Federal constituency of Delta State in the Green Chambers come 2019.

His entrance into the race has resulted in a paradigm shift especially on the perception of the people of the constituency on who should be their voice in the House in the next political dispensation.
