Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government of plotting to disrupt the 2019 election by releasing arrested Boko Haram suspects.
In a World Press Conference in Abuja on Monday, Information Minister, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said that the Federal Government was in possession of credible intelligence confirming that opposition politicians were orchestrating widespread violence to truncate the forthcoming general elections.

However, Omokri, who took to his verified Twitter handle, said that the Federal Government should be held responsible if any violence erupts during the 2019 election.
According to him, it is disingenious for the Federal Government to accuse opposition figures of plotting to use violence to disrupt the electoral process when it was the one releasing allegedly repentant “Boko Haram” suspects.
He said, “Lai Mohammed claims the opposition plan to use Boko Haram to disrupt the 2019 elections, yet it is Muhammadu Buhari and the APC that has been releasing ‘repentant’ Boko Haram members and it’s the PDP and Atiku who have been against that policy. Who is fooling who?”
