President Goodluck Jonathan appears to be the most popular candidate in the country at the moment, as 49.7% of Nigerians have indicated their preparedness to vote for the incumbent.
The findings were as a result of an online poll conducted by The Herald, in which over 1,735 Nigerians participated.
Jonathan’s result in the poll is higher than the combination of all the potential APC candidate’s previously mentioned.
Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso is said to be considering contesting for the 2015 Presidential elections. The APC political leader has been very vocal against the Jonathan administration.
14.4% of Nigerians say they will vote Kwankwaso in the 2015 elections for President.
Another opposition leader, General Muhammadu Buhari appears to be more of a hit with the public. In his case, 23.6% of Nigerians surveyed say they will vote for him in 2015.
The least popular is former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, as less than 5% of Nigerians surveyed have indicated their readiness to vote for him in 2015.
