It was a bloody Tuesday evening at Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos.
Unarmed protesters were shot by armed men in military fatigues.
The Nigerian Army has denied complicity, saying that no soldiers were at the Lekki Toll Gate, in spite of video evidence.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu blamed the shooting on forces beyond his direct control, confirming Federal Government’s involvement in the incident.
Many Nigerian celebrities have expressed horror as dozens were killed or injured.

Some of the celebrities that reacted strongly to the incident were Davido, Banky W, Tekno, Falz, Kate Henshaw, Adekunle Gold, Omoni Oboli, Adesua Etomi, Burna Boy, Laycon, Tacha, among others.
