Two men claiming to be majors in the Nigeria Army have been apprehended by troops of the 2 Brigade, Port Harcourt in Rivers State.
The men were said to have defrauded unsuspecting members of the public, while pretending to be Army officers.
One of the men was reportedly arrested in Mbiama, Ahoada West Local Government Area while trying to beat an Army checkpoint during a recent protest in the state, Channels TV reported.
He is said to be recuperating from the hospital, after suffering a gunshot wound.
The other, a 38-year-old man, has also been paraded by the Army in the state capital.
