Former national security adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki, has stated that God will judge those who are prosecuting him for his old grievances.
He added that he is being punished by some people at the highest level of power in Nigeria for grievances held against him while in active army service many years ago.
Dasuki, speaking through his counsel Joseph Daudu, SAN, told the court that he has left his case for God for the ultimate judgment.
He said: “It is crystal clear that the defendant (Dasuki) is being punished by the powers that be for the perceived offences committed long before.
“We leave them to the Almighty God for his ultimate judgment”.
Dasuki is being arraigned for alleged mismanagement of funds meant for the procurement of arms for the Nigerian army.
