As the probe into how $2.1 billion earmarked for arms procurement was expended by the Office of the National Security Adviser under Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd) continues, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has compiled a list of the top brass of the military to be interrogated.
The list, according to The Punch, is expected to contain the names of serving and retired military officers.
Also, the anti-graft body has forwarded a letter to the Army Headquarters seeking the release of the affected officers.
According to a source in the EFCC, “The commission has a list, a comprehensive list of serving and retired military personnel that they want to interrogate.”
It was gathered that the commission had detained a serving Army colonel since December 2015 for his role in the arms deal.
Information had it that the colonel was on secondment to the Office of the NSA under Dasuki and oversaw arms procurement emanating from the office.
