The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has restated that it found the sum of $1 million cash in the home of former Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh.
The EFCC made the submission during the hearing before Federal High Court in Abuja today. Counsel to the EFCC, Rotimi Jacobs (SAN) said the funds were found in a N1.1 billion Abuja property it believed belonged to Badeh.
Jacobs said even though Badeh has denied ownership of the property, its agents found the former CDS personal effects including photographs in the home.
Badeh is standing trial on a 10 count charge alleging he diverted N3.97 billion whilst he was chief of air staff.
