The leader of North Korea Kim Jong-Un has made the news for allegedly ordering for the execution of `2 officials earlier in the month.
The offense of one of them was that he dozed off during a meeting.
According to South Korean newspaper JoongAng Daily, unknown sources revealed to them that the official “incurred the wrath of Kim after he dozed off during a meeting that Kim presided over.”
The paper added that the official was arrested on corruption charges before his execution was ordered by Kim Jong-Un.
The other official’s offense was that he proposed policies that were against Kim’s leadership.
The two men were then killed at a military academy in Pyongyang with anti-aircraft guns.
The act is one that is consistent with the way Kim operates as he’s reportedly had opponents and people he perceives as impediments killed.
Recall that in 2013, Jang Song-thaek, Kim’s uncle and second in command was executed. He was found guilty of treason and other crimes against North Korea.
